User Activity
Track engagement metrics and trends for your Deway-powered application.
Overview
The User Activity page is your main analytics dashboard. It shows how users interact with the AI assistant over time, helping you measure adoption and engagement.
Navigate to User Activity in the admin sidebar.
Time Range
Use the time range selector in the top right to filter all metrics:

|---|---|
| Last 24 Hours | Activity from the past day |
| Last 7 Days | Activity from the past week (default) |
| Last 30 Days | Activity from the past month |
| Custom | Pick a specific date range |
Key Metrics
Three metric cards at the top provide a quick summary:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Questions Asked | Number of messages users sent to the AI in the selected period |
| Active Users | Percentage of users who asked questions out of all active users, shown as a ratio (e.g., 12/50) |
| Avg Chats per Engaged User | Average number of chat sessions per user who asked at least one question |
Trend Charts
Two trend charts show activity over time:
Users with Questions
Shows the number of distinct users who asked questions, plotted over time. Use this to track whether AI engagement is growing.
Active Users
Shows the total number of active users over time. Compare with "Users with Questions" to understand what percentage of your user base engages with the AI.
Empty State
If no events have been received, the page shows a setup prompt with a link to Settings > SDK Setup to help you integrate the SDK.
