User Sessions

Inspect individual user sessions to understand what users did, how long they spent, and what flows they completed.

Overview

The User Sessions page shows a detailed log of user sessions in your application. Each session is enriched with AI-generated summaries, flow outcomes, and business events.

Navigate to User Sessions in the admin sidebar.

Session List

The session list shows all user sessions in a filterable table.

Columns

DurationHow long the session lasted
EventsNumber of business events detected in the session
Flow OutcomesBadges showing completed, dropped-off, or mistake flows
StartedWhen the session began

Filtering

Filter sessions by:

  • Time Range — Custom date range picker
  • User ID — Search for a specific user
  • Duration — Minimum and maximum session length
  • Event Count — Minimum and maximum business events
  • Bot/Dev Filter — Exclude bot or development traffic
  • Sort — By start time or last event time

Flow Outcomes

Sessions are tagged with flow outcome badges that show how users progressed through key workflows:

CompletedUser successfully finished a flow
MistakesUser completed a flow but made errors along the way
Dropped-OffUser started a flow but didn't finish

A single session can have multiple flow outcomes if the user went through several workflows.

Session Details

Click on a session to open a detailed side panel.

Summary

  • TL;DR — One-line highlight of the session
  • Summary — AI-generated narrative of what happened in the session

Business Events

A chronological list of business events detected during the session. Each event shows:

ParametersKey-value pairs with details (e.g., project name, user role)

Expand individual events to see their parameters, or use Expand All / Collapse All.

Session Metadata

At the bottom of the details panel:

  • Session ID — Unique identifier (click to copy)
  • User ID — Click to copy
  • Duration — Total session length
  • Raw Events — Total number of raw events captured
  • Business Events — Number of meaningful business events extracted

Use Cases

Monitor Onboarding

Filter by new users and check flow outcomes. High drop-off rates in onboarding flows signal friction points.

Debug User Issues

Search for a specific user ID to see their recent sessions. The AI-generated summaries and event timelines help you understand exactly what happened.

Measure Feature Adoption

Look at business events across sessions to see which features users engage with and where they get stuck.
