HubSpot Integration

Sync Deway conversation data to HubSpot to enrich your CRM with AI engagement insights.

Overview

The Deway + HubSpot integration allows you to:

  • Sync conversation data to HubSpot contact records
  • Track AI engagement as CRM activities
  • Trigger workflows based on chat activity
  • Score leads using Deway interaction data

Setup

Prerequisites

  • An active Deway account with the Web SDK installed
  • A HubSpot account with API access
  • Admin permissions in both platforms

Step 1: Get Your HubSpot API Key

  1. Log into your HubSpot account
  2. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > API Key
  3. Generate or copy your API key

Step 2: Configure in Deway

  1. Log into your Deway dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings > Integrations
  3. Find HubSpot in the integrations list
  4. Click Connect
  5. Paste your HubSpot API key
  6. Click Save

Use Cases

Enrich Contact Records

Deway adds AI engagement data to HubSpot contacts:

  • Number of chat sessions
  • Walkthrough completion status
  • Topics discussed with the AI assistant

Trigger Workflows

Use Deway events to trigger HubSpot workflows:

  • Send a follow-up when a user completes onboarding
  • Alert your CS team when a user has repeated chat sessions about the same issue
  • Update lead scores based on product engagement

Segment by Engagement

Create HubSpot lists based on Deway activity:

  • Users who completed walkthroughs
  • Users with high chat engagement
  • Users who haven't interacted with the AI assistant

Troubleshooting

Events Not Appearing in HubSpot

  1. Verify the API key is correct
  2. Check that the integration is enabled in Deway
  3. Ensure users are identified with Deway.identify() using an ID that matches HubSpot contacts
  4. Allow a few minutes for data to sync
